Praise or Pan is available exclusively on the iOS App Store.
Praise or Pan lets you rate books (and other entities) with a simple Praise or Pan vote. Votes are aggregated anonymously so you can see overall results at a glance.
To use this app, iCloud must be enabled on your device.
The app stores your votes so they can sync across your devices and so the app can prevent duplicate voting. Aggregate totals are shown without revealing individual users. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You can delete your account and all app data directly in the app. Open Manage Account in Settings (User Tab) and tap Delete My Account & Data. This permanently deletes your voting history stored by the app (including cloud-synced records).
If you only want to delete specific votes, go to My Votes and swipe to delete individual items.
Data Storage & Deletion: Praise or Pan requires iCloud to be enabled on your device. Votes are stored and synced using iCloud (CloudKit), even if you have not used Sign in with Apple inside the app. Deleting the app does not remove data stored in iCloud. To permanently delete your vote history stored by Praise or Pan, open Settings → Delete My Account & Data in the app.
Since Praise or Pan has a duplicate vote alert, it will not let you vote on the same item twice. You can use this functionality to test whether your iCloud votes are truly erased.
Praise or Pan uses Sign in with Apple to authenticate you. You can manage your Apple ID separately in iOS Settings. Votes are stored and synced using iCloud (CloudKit).
The app allows one vote per user per entity to keep results meaningful.
Use the in-app Share button to generate a share card for social media or messages. Sharing is optional and initiated by you.
The app may display publicly available metadata retrieved from official third-party APIs (for example, Google Books and Wikipedia). This content is used to help identify and describe items being rated.
